Project Description
Upgrade of approximately 14 kilometres of the Pacific Highway to a four lane divided road between Barrys Creek in Kundabung and the South Kempsey Interchange.

This project involved building an interchange at Kundabung Road, new intersections for local access roads, bus stops and new rest areas.

RoadNet was the temporary works design consultant for this project undertaking tasks including:

  • Consulting with construction contractor to develop construction staging methodology;
  • Preparing Traffic Staging Plans;
  • Preparing long term Traffic Control Plans;
  • Undertaking of civil design of temporary sidetracks and intersections;
  • Undertaking temporary drainage design and analysis;
  • Undertaking design of signage;
  • Undertaking dilapidation surveys;
  • Undertaking road safety audits.

This project involved building 15 bridges, interchanges at Warrell Creek and Bald Hill Road and new intersections for local access roads.
