Description

The Mackay Ring Road was constructed to provide an improved link for travellers on the Bruce Highway and to reduce traffic travelling through Mackay. The project involved the construction of an 11 kilometre ring road connecting the Bruce Highway around the Mackay CBD, 1.6 kilometre upgrade of the Peak Downs Highway and a new bridge over the Pioneer River. RoadNet was engaged by CPB Contractors (Principal Contractor) to as the temporary works design consultant for this project from inception to completion. The role required the design of all highway and local road temporary alignments, temporary stormwater drainage design and traffic analysis.
